The official rules of Kendama:

- Start with the ken or tama in one hand and have the other part suspended by the string or in the other hand.

- Finish with the two parts nested to validate the trick.

- Do not touch the kendama with both hands at the same time, except at the beginning of a trick.

- Do not touch the ken and the tama at the same time with your hand, otherwise the trick is invalidated, unless it is a "freestyle" trick.

- The Kendama must have a string.

- Some exceptions are possible and we can invent whatever we want, the important thing is to have fun.

- In competition, the height of the ken must not exceed 17cm
